Dr. Mark Budow was born in Cape Town, and graduated from Medical School in Stellenbosch. He came to live in Israel in 1982. A self-professed ‘sports fanatic’, he has been to two Olympics, watched World Cup Rugby, Cricket and Soccer, the FA Cup Final, and the Euroleague Basketball Final. He is a General Practitioner and has a practice in Yehud, is Chairman of Israel Balint Society and teaches at Tel Aviv University. His special interests are medical communication and the doctor-patient relationship. He is the recipient of the Association of Family Medicine in Israel Prize for 2009.
